Feeling a Little Guilty!

Ok...anyone who knows me knows I am always going and doing something so you can imagine the conflict I have doing nothing. I feel lazy some days, but I have to admit I am getting over it. Of course by the time I get use to this I will be back in Utah running weddings and going full bore as usual. But I am enjoying it while I can. Here are some of the fun pics. The one above is me doing what I love to do....READ!

Las Vegas

So.. our lives get crazier and crazier. Grant is now active duty in Las Vegas before he goes to Afghanistan. We felt like we needed to spend as much time as possible together as a family and the only way to do that was to move to Las Vegas. We don't have a house to live in while we are building our new one so this worked out perfectly for the summer. The kids are out and I will come up a week each month to run my weddings. The house Grant got is beautiful. It is all paid for by the military and it is furnished. Needless to say it is a nice little get away for us. Check out the house....

We had a blast hanging out in the backyard enjoying a the cool breeze. Austin entertained us with his dancing...if you want to call it that. Bre says he is a girl with a twitch!

Baseball

Austin is enjoying playing baseball this season. His coach said he is the best player they have. He plays first, second, short stop and center field. On the last game Austin's had an amazing double play at first. The other team had the bases load when he caught the ball and touched the first base. The crowd went wild and they won the game. His team is really sad he had to leave before the season ended to move with the family to Las Vegas for the summer. Here are some pics.

Catching a ball for the out!

This picture makes me laugh! These are all 7th and 8th graders, but seriously...check out this runner on first! The parents called this scene David and Goliath. We all got a good laugh out of it.

Look at Austin's face. He is like....How the heck am I suppose to get around him?

Mother's Day!

I had an amazing Mother's day weekend! It started it out with an hour and a half massage. Then I headed up to Park City to Westgate for a three day get away all by myself. It was so fun to sit in the Jacuzzi tub in my room, shop, eat out, watch movies, and stay in my PJ's all day. My family did drop in on Sunday to tell me how much they appreciated me. I love my family and I am so grateful I am a mother of three beautiful children who teach me so much. I am very blessed.
Lounging around!

Wow they are building fast!

We cannot believe how fast they are building our house. They are telling us that we will be in our home the first part of August. It is turning out beautiful. We went to our new ward and loved it. It should be a fun new adventure.

Here we are in front of our new home after attending the ward.

What? You got suspended?

You never think your child is going to be suspended from school, but it happened, I got a call from the Junior High Principal letting me know that Austin had punched a kid in the eye and he would be suspended for a day. Apparently this boy had been bullying Austin and pushing him all week. He finally had had it and punched him as hard as he could in the face. The principal said it was so bad that the boy had to go to the doctors. He also said that Austin was really sorry, and that he was defending himself. Needless to say the boy had a shiner and his eye was swollen shut. I can guarantee that kid won't be bothering him again. Part of me was so mad at Austin, but Grant assured me that he needed to defend himself. Of course he ended up painting the entire day he was home. No bon-bons and soap operas for him.

My Mom's House

It's be an adjustment to move in with my mom in Bountiful, but we are so grateful for her willingness to take us in with our two dogs and cat. We have loved being surrounded by trees and nature. It will be hard to leave it. Deer visit the yard daily and quail seem to find their way into the house. We wanted to leave my mom's house better then when we found it so we repainted the outside of the house and helped remodel her bathroom. Here are some pics of her yard and our daily visitors.

Band Concert at Muller Park Junior High

My kid's have loved being at the new junior high. They had their spring band concert. I have to admit they were really good. Better then the 9th grade band. I was very proud of both Austin and Marissa. Here some pics.

Austin loves percussion.

Marissa is one of the best flutes.

Grant Returns From Turkey

After being gone to Turkey for months Grant finally returned. It is always so touching to see all of the families gathered to greet their soldier. It's hard to describe the feelings of pride and happiness we all feel. Here is Grant's plane landing.

The kids and Grant's mom are all ready to give Grant a patriotic welcome home.

Grant existing the plane happy to finally be in the United States.

Austin was so excited to have his father home he started to cry. He loves his dad. Being in household of all women is rough on him.
