Baptisms for th dead!

I Have a great son! We went to the Las Vegas Temple for family night this last Monday and all Austin could do was talk about how much he wanted to do baptisms for the dead. He kept begging me the whole next day. I finally called and got us an appointment. Out of our three kids he had a current recommend which meant a mother son date to the temple. It was really special! We both did 48 baptisms each and over 40 confirmations. The temple workers were very grateful for our help. It was really the other way around. We were grateful for the experience and the feelings we had in the temple.

KA

Our good friends Alan and Kim Parker came into to town last night and joined us for a night on the town. We had an amazing dinner at the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been too. It was located in the MGM Casino. The food was to die for. We then went to a spectacular Las Vegas show called KA by Cirque Du Soleil. It was incredible. I can't believe the talent of the people down here. Thanks for the memories Alan and Kim!

A night on the strip!

We had a great weekend! Not only was the sun shining, but there are so many things to do and it is even better doing them with my family. On Saturday we had a barbecue with some of Grant's military class. He is the class leader while they are being trained to run the predator (unmanned aircraft in Iraq). These poor guys have been without their families for many months. It was fun to have them in our home. After eating and swimming we headed to New York New York where our family loves to ride the roller coaster. We also stopped at the M&M factory. You are never too old to go there!

Grant's buddies Glen and Robert!

Right before our ride on the roller coaster.

Austin and Breanna waiting to go on the roller coaster! They are always posing.

We found Elvis in Las Vegas!

Seriously...I don't think my kids can take a picture without making a crazy face!

Feeling a Little Guilty!

Ok...anyone who knows me knows I am always going and doing something so you can imagine the conflict I have doing nothing. I feel lazy some days, but I have to admit I am getting over it. Of course by the time I get use to this I will be back in Utah running weddings and going full bore as usual. But I am enjoying it while I can. Here are some of the fun pics. The one above is me doing what I love to do....READ!
.
Even the dogs love to swim!
And when we really have nothing to do... we dress up! Check out Bre's self titled Las Vegas Outfit!

Las Vegas

So.. our lives get crazier and crazier. Grant is now active duty in Las Vegas before he goes to Afghanistan. We felt like we needed to spend as much time as possible together as a family and the only way to do that was to move to Las Vegas. We don't have a house to live in while we are building our new one so this worked out perfectly for the summer. The kids are out and I will come up a week each month to run my weddings. The house Grant got is beautiful. It is all paid for by the military and it is furnished. Needless to say it is a nice little get away for us. Check out the house....

We had a blast hanging out in the backyard enjoying a the cool breeze. Austin entertained us with his dancing...if you want to call it that. Bre says he is a girl with a twitch!

Baseball

Austin is enjoying playing baseball this season. His coach said he is the best player they have. He plays first, second, short stop and center field. On the last game Austin's had an amazing double play at first. The other team had the bases load when he caught the ball and touched the first base. The crowd went wild and they won the game. His team is really sad he had to leave before the season ended to move with the family to Las Vegas for the summer. Here are some pics.

Action shot....Playing Short Stop.

Catching a ball for the out!

This picture makes me laugh! These are all 7th and 8th graders, but seriously...check out this runner on first! The parents called this scene David and Goliath. We all got a good laugh out of it.

Look at Austin's face. He is like....How the heck am I suppose to get around him?
