Christmas Band Concert!

Another concert by the twins. Their first concert earlier this year was a little hard to listen to, but this concert was really good. Austin was nervous because he had a solo part on the base drum. He pulled it off of course. I am so proud of them. Wow how they have grown up right before my eyes. Listen to his awesome rhythm! If you watch his lips he is counting the whole time. It is really cute!

Christmas!

The Horsley Christmas Festivities started out with the annual Honey sledding on Christmas eve! So much fun!Marissa is ready to go!Mother Daughter photo moment.Austin's going to show us how to conquer the hill by snowboarding. It's a great time for cousins to get together and play!Best part of tubing.....The trains! You always end up laughing so hard. So cute!!....Bre, Mariah, and Paige. Christmas Eve picture after we opened our new PJ's. I love new PJ's. Apparently some kids were good this year. Here they are all showing off their new IPods.
Even the animals love Christmas. Boo and Peekaboo got new bones and Misty...well...she just loves the boxes. On Christmas day a huge snow storm snowed us in. It was the perfect time to play in the snow in the back yard. It was a blast! We decided it would be fun to bury Bre. Here is a shot of her.

The Christmas season wasn't complete without a visit from my sister and her family. She is so much fun to be with. We played Wii until the Wee hours of the morning. LOL Get it! I think Lisa is so tired she is so sleepy that her eyes are closing. LOL We laughed and played games. She is so special to all of us. We are so blessed to have her in our lives and it is always a treat to see her. She is of course the most beautiful one out of the sisters. And yes.... your picture made it onto the blog!!!

Thanksgiving at the Honey's

We had Thanksgiving this year at my brother Shane's house. My kids love to go there. He has the best ham. Yes, that's right ham. We don't have turkey at their house. We prefer ham. In fact my kids call it SHHH....Which stands for Shane Honey Honey Ham. It was a great meal with a lot of laughing and talking. My favorite was watching the 2 hour episode of "24". I can't wait for the new season. The kids can't wait to eat!

Mom and Shane enjoying a tender moment!

Poor Brayden...He did not want his picture taken. Even with a beautiful girl like Breanna.

Young Women Take 2nd in Region Vollyball!

Wow! I am so proud of our Young Women. They had a great season in volleyball. They took 2ND in Regions. Marissa played so well. At the beginning of the season she was almost crying when I told her she had to go and now she can't get enough of playing volleyball with our ward. Bre had to work and missed most of the games, but she has played in years past and is really good. Here are some pics of the final game.

Halloween at the Horsleys

It is was a quiet Halloween at our house. Marissa and Austin went trick or treating with friends. It's kinda nice to not have to go with them like when they were little. Bre worked at Jason's Deli where we got take out and enjoyed a night of passing out candy and watching movies. The kids looked great.

Grant Loves To Referee Football!

Grant can't seem to get enough of refereeing football and it shows. He was chosen as the only first year referee to referee a High School varsity football game. I am so proud of him. He is a natural. He says when he referees it relaxes him. Go figure?! Having a stand full of people yelling at you...I can't quit go there, but whatever floats your boat! Who knows maybe he could relax refereeing a college football game. LOL Here he is with his crew. Isn't he so cute!

Perfect Weekend!

You know when you have one of those weekends when you just play like you know you should and it feels good. Yep...you know what I mean. Well we had one of those weekends. It started out with Austin and Marissa Performing in their first band concert. The grandparents loved it. We were so proud of them. We all went out for ice cream after.

Cute Marissa on Flute!

Austin on percussion. Austin wouldn't look at the camera because his friends were watching.

Then it was off to Frightmares at Lagoon. What a blast! I have never been during Frightmares. I loved the atmosphere. the haunted houses were lame, but I loved the Sky Coaster. It was the most adrenaline I have had in a while. They strap you into a harness and lift you up 150 feet and then you pull a cord and free fall until the cord catches and you swing out over Lagoon. I had to pull the cord and I am not too proud to tell you that my hand was shaking. But it was worth it. Bre and her two friends also did it. Check out the video.

The girls really liked Austin! Yikes!

The next day we got up and went to the BYU game with my Brother Shane, his boys, and my mother. What a perfect day for a football game. and to top it all off BYU won.

After the game I took my sister's family pictures. They turned out really cute! Here are a few.

I'm Quirky!

I was tagged to tell 6 quirky things about myself and tag 6 others to do the same. Here we go...

1. I hate pruny feet and fingers that have been in water for a long time. It gives me the chills. Just writing about it gives me chills. If we are in a hot tub or a swimming pool Grant can't touch me until his feet and fingers are back to normal.

2. I have panic attacks when I go grocery shopping or clothes shopping. I am so worried about what I am spending that I start to sweat at the check out stand. I almost always try to put it off. It drives me crazy!

3. I can memorize every price of every item in a full shopping cart to the penny. I drive the people who check me out crazy by pointing out all the wrong pricing.

4. I don't like desserts like cakes, pies, cookies, chocolate, or donuts. I crave hot tamales or soft chewy sweet-tarts.

5.I love to plan the least expensive exotic vacation I can even if I am not going on it. I know tons of travel websites and I get deals emailed to me daily.

6. I love to wrestle with Grant and grab his feet when we are running up the stairs! I also love to push him out of the bed with my foot when he is not expecting it. It makes me giggle.

I tag Lace, Leighanne, Jessica, Bre, Becky, and Court.

A Long Weekend in Park City!

So... we finally got some time off together as a family. We have a time share in Park City at Westgate. We love it. We arrived Wednesday night to a mess with our reservations. They didn't have us in the right room. They were booked solid and decided to give us the presidential suite for the week. What a blast! I don't remember when we really let down and relaxed like we did this week. I love being together as a family. We laughed and giggled. We stayed up late and watched movies and ate all kinds of junk food. We also played monopoly until the wee hours of the morning. Of course I won! We also had my mom up for a day. We shopped in down town Park City, swam, played ping-pong, and of course went to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. That is always a family tradition. Here are a few pics!

Awesome View!

Bre,Grandma, and myself had a blast trying on fun hats while shopping!

Family Pictures!

So I decided to attempt to take my own family pictures this year. Anyone who knows me knows I freak out about family pictures. What we wear, the weather, where we will take them, etc. This year was different.... knowing I was taking them helped me to relax. I knew if they didn't turn out I could always to do them again. So, Sunday after conference I told them to put something nice on we were heading to Ogden. That's right...no deciding what we were going to wear until that moment. As you will notice...I am in a lot of the pictures.... that is when a tripod comes in handy. I think some of them turned out really cute. We had a blast taking them. I guess pictures aren't so bad after all. Here are a few of them. There has to be one picture we can just be ourselves in.
